Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04), Chairman of the House Armed Services Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee and Co-Chairman of the Congressional China Caucus, released the following statement regarding the Armed Services Committee’s forthcoming hearing on the U.S. rebalance to the Asia Pacific:

“It is very likely that the history of national security issues in the 21st century will be written in the Asia-Pacific region. As such, I appreciate Chairman McKeon’s efforts to bring greater attention to the Administration’s rebalance of our Nation's foreign affairs and national security strategy to this region and to ask tough questions regarding our future force posture and objectives in Asia. I will continue to advocate for American regional engagement commensurate with the scope of our national security interests and in keeping with the commitments made to our allies and partners.”
