Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04), Chairman of the House Armed Services Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee, released the following statement regarding President Obama’s decision to decrease a congressionally-mandated pay increase for the U.S. Military:

"It’s almost paradoxical that the President’s decision to lower the congressionally-required pay raise for our men and women in uniform comes at the very time he is considering ill-advised military action in Syria without congressional authorization. I am deeply disappointed that the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces would consider committing American troops to harm’s way while denying them the full pay raise they have clearly earned.”
