Forbes Congratulates Twelve Virginia - 4th District Students Heading to U.S. Service Academies
Washington, D.C., Jun 15, 2012 - Congressman Forbes is pleased to announce that twelve high school students from the Fourth District have been accepted and will attend U.S. Service Academies this year.

The vigorous application process includes standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, essays and a physical fitness assessment and seeks to select students of the highest academic and moral caliber. As part of the application process, each attendee must also obtain a letter of nomination from a federal elected official.

“It is a great honor to attend one of our nation’s service academies, and I am proud that so many students will be representing the Fourth District as they embark on their military journeys,” said Congressman Forbes.

“I was honored to nominate these future military leaders and thank them in advance for their sense of service, duty and patriotism to their thankful nation.”
