Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04), Chairman of the House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee, has returned from his third trip to Israel this year, where he met with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu amid escalating regional tensions. Notably, the visit coincided with the release of the IAEA's report confirming that Iran's nuclear program has a clear military dimension with the purpose of producing warheads that fit onto medium-range missiles, threatening Israel's very existence.
Congressman Forbes visited areas including Hebron, Samaria, and the Golan Heights and was afforded the unique opportunity to visit Iron Dome, a mobile air defense system designed to intercept short-range rockets and artillery shells.
To speak with Congressman Forbes about his recent visit to Israel during this time of increasing regional instability, contact Forbes' Press Secretary Joe Hack at 202-225-6365 or joe.hack@mail.house.gov.
