Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) announced this evening that he will conduct an aerial tour of the storm damaged communities of Virginia along with Governor Robert F. McDonnell and other federal, state, and local elected officials on Monday, August 29, 2011 beginning at 10:00 AM.
"The strength of our Commonwealth has been tested by a destructive hurricane that resulted in the loss of life of four Virginians and damage to our homes and our infrastructure. Though hundreds of thousands still remain without power and the full extent of the damage remains unknown, I am working closely with federal, state, and local officials to meet the needs of our localities throughout Virginia's Fourth District and the rest of the Commonwealth. Tomorrow's tour will give us the opportunity to assess the extent of the damage first-hand and begin the process of aiding our resilient communities. Citizens having difficulty receiving the help they need should contact one of my offices for assistance; we stand ready to help," Forbes said.
