Forbes Announces Job Fair in Chesapeake

Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) announced today that he will host a job fair with area businesses in Chesapeake on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Greenbrier Middle School. The job fair is free and open to all constituents who are interested in learning about available jobs with area businesses. Over 35 employers are scheduled to be on hand to discuss job availabilities.

In addition to meeting with area businesses, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with experts on resume writing, interviewing, and job searching, as well as get information on available apprenticeships.

Congressman Forbes made the following statement about the job fair: “In these challenging economic times, it is my hope that this event will provide a forum for employers and potential employees to learn about opportunities that are available in our region as we continue to work to create financial stability for citizens of Virginia’s Fourth Congressional District."

Registration is required, and attendees may register online at http://forbesjobfairchesapeake.eventbrite.com or by calling Congressman Forbes’ Chesapeake District Office at (757) 382-0080. Attendees should be prepared to bring their resumes and letters of reference.
