Congressman Forbes on The Mike Huckabee Show
Posted by Randy | July 17, 2012

Today I spoke with Governor Mike Huckabee on his nationally syndicated radio program to discuss looming Defense cuts and the disastrous effect they would have upon both the military and all Americans. We discussed how the defense budget has been continually targeted and reduced over the past three years and how additional cuts will lead to the possibility of another 1+ million jobs disappearing.  You can listen to the clip here.

It was very good news today that the new consumer protection bureau, which was opposed by congressman Forbes, issued its first fines, a whopping 210 million in penalty and reimbursements on a major bank that was misleading millions of consumers. It was so refreshing to finally get some action for the middle class and a little stimulus for the economy. Now perhaps if the pentagon really needs the 56 billion they say they will lose in cuts, which would still leave the U.S. defense budget more that 1/2 TRILLION dollars more than the second largest defense budget in the world...well, the congressman could get that money by supporting and end to the tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. Now, if he refuses of course, the sick, poor, elderly and child services programs would have to pay for the bombs so millionaires can waste yet another year without creating jobs. Are you better off with congressman Forbes over the past 12 years....with 10 TRILLION in debt he has helped to create and actually LOSING jobs during the decade he was there implementing the failed policy?
