Past M&S Events

The Second Annual M&S Capitol Hill Exhibition was attended by hundreds of participants who came to the expo to see nearly 30 exhibitors from a myriad of industries. The expo allowed decision-makers in Washington to experience hands-on the ability and potential of M&S. The expo was hosted by the Congressional Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Caucus in conjunction with the event sponsor, the National Training and Simulation Association. The 4th Annual Advanced Initiatives in Medical Simulation (AIMS) Conference & Exhibition.
The exhibition included hands-on demonstrations of medical simulation, a critical health care technology that reduces real-life medical errors through virtual training. The exhibition highlighted the importance of issues related to patient safety, medical errors, and health care costs for policymakers in Washington. Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Caucus Congressional Policy Breakfast.
The breakfast offered Members and staff the opportunity to learn about recent advances in modeling and simulation. Congressman Forbes highlighted a resolution he plans to introduce with other members of the caucus next week that would recognize M&S as a national critical technology.

Second Annual Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Summit in Chesapeake, Virginia.
At the summit, Congressman Forbes, Chairman of the Modeling and Simulation Caucus, announced the development of a resolution of Congress to highlight the importance of modeling and simulation to national security and also led a panel discussion with fellow M&S Caucus members. The annual event brought M&S leaders from government, industry and academia for a rare discussion on issues and advancements in the M&S community, and how to enhance the ability of lawmakers and industry leaders to deliver advanced M&S technologies into the hands of the users - soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines on the front lines in the War on Terror.
